Russia's Federal Security Service reported the arrest of a Russian citizen who was planning a terrorist attack against military personnel in the Kherson region, allegedly on orders from Ukrainian intelligence services.
Operation details
During a thorough search, security forces discovered a handmade explosive device concealed inside a device resembling a power bank, containing over 200 grams of explosives and remotely controlled via wireless signals. A phone with communications between the suspect and his handler was also seized.
The detainee confessed to the crime, and charges of preparing a terrorist act and illegal possession, transport and storage of explosives were filed against him.
