Apple Engages Award-Winning Photographers to Showcase iPhone Duo Camera Capabilities

Apple has launched a new "Shot on iPhone" campaign to highlight the camera capabilities of the foldable iPhone Duo, featuring work from award‑winning professional photographers.
Campaign details
Apple selected photographers Jake Michaels and Jason Nocito to test the device, each capturing a series of images with the phone. Both have extensive portfolios working with global stars such as Woody Harrelson, Keith Richards, Ariana Grande and George Clooney, lending credibility to the results.
The iPhone Duo sports a 48‑megapixel main sensor (1/1.56‑inch) with a 26 mm f/1.6 lens, and a 48‑megapixel ultra‑wide sensor (1/2.55‑inch) with a 13 mm f/2.2 lens, supporting HDR and multi‑frame processing.
Technical context
The campaign demonstrates that photo quality relies not only on hardware specs but also on the photographer’s skill in composition, lighting and angle selection. This aligns with Apple’s strategy of promoting its devices by showcasing strong photography results even from models not primarily marketed for imaging.
Sales of the iPhone Duo are set to begin on 16 October, with shipments to customers starting 23 October.

Apple Bypasses iPhone 18 Pro Max Battery Shipping Limits with Software Trick
Apple has created a software trick that lets iPhone 18 Pro Max users bypass the 20‑Wh shipping limit. A temporary charging cap is applied during transport and removed after the first power‑on, allowing the full battery capacity of roughly 21.7 Wh (U.S. model) or 21.1 Wh (EU model). The limit is enforced in the U.S. since 2025, while other international bodies have not issued clear guidance. Regulators are reviewing the rule to keep pace with modern high‑density batteries, with updates expected by 2029.
