Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 17 Series with Massive Batteries and Large Displays

Xiaomi has officially unveiled two new devices in the Redmi Note 17 lineup: a 4G-supported standard model and an advanced 5G variant, both emphasizing battery longevity and display size.
Technical Specifications Focused on Display and Battery
The Redmi Note 17 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor manufactured at 6nm, offering RAM options from 4 to 8GB. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 17 5G features the newer Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip at 4nm with 5G network support. Both models boast a nearly 7-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and featuring an under-display fingerprint sensor.
These devices highlight a massive 7700mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging, which increases the device weight to 224g and 225g respectively. They share a 50MP primary rear camera and a 16MP front camera, along with IP65 water and dust resistance.
Operating System and Long-Term Software Support
Running on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3, the phones come with a promise of six years of security updates and support for microSD storage expansion. Available in purple, light blue, and black, they offer storage configurations up to 256GB.
