The LEAP 2026 conference witnessed a wave of major technological announcements, with total investments nearing $2.5 billion. These projects focus on expanding data centers, cloud services, and localizing technical solutions, reinforcing the Kingdom's status as a global hub for advanced digital infrastructure. MIS Systems led the announcements with a $1.2 billion investment to expand its data center capacity to 192 megawatts, addressing the surge in demand for AI and cloud computing. Meanwhile, NHC Innovation unveiled plans worth $880 million for data centers in Digital Qatar, aiming for 65 megawatts by 2033. In cloud services, Mobily and BytePlus announced a partnership exceeding $150 million to launch advanced cloud solutions in the Kingdom. HPE and Intel collaborated to open an innovation center supporting local startups in AI, while Nokia inaugurated its first R&D center in Saudi Arabia to accelerate AI-driven network automation. Internationally, Vision Invest and Africa Finance Corporation led a $300 million investment in WIOCC to boost digital infrastructure across Africa. The event continues until September 3 in Riyadh, gathering global tech leaders to showcase the future of AI and cloud computing.
