HUMAN Unveils AI-Powered Horizon Ultra Laptop at LEAP 2026

HUMAN, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, unveiled its latest personal computing device, the Horizon Ultra, during the LEAP 2026 conference in Saudi Arabia. This new device aims to revolutionize the user experience by integrating artificial intelligence technologies directly into the device infrastructure rather than relying solely on traditional cloud solutions.

Unique Design Based on Local Processing

The new computer is powered by Qualcomm's advanced Snapdragon X2 Elite platform, which was meticulously developed to run AI models locally on the device itself. This platform includes an 18-core Qualcomm Oryon central processor, along with an advanced Adreno graphics processing unit and the specialized Hexagon neural processing unit for complex computational tasks. This intelligent distribution of workload among specialized computing engines allows for the execution of complex tasks at high speed, enhancing the device's response to the user at the precise moment without waiting for an internet connection. This design also helps keep sensitive data and critical processes within the device, providing an additional layer of privacy and security for both users and institutions alike. Tariq Amin, CEO of HUMAN, stated that intensive collaboration with Qualcomm over a full year resulted in a design that embodies the future of personal computing. He clarified that this launch is merely the beginning, as the company plans to launch a proprietary operating system named HUMAIN OS in 2027 to enhance deep integration between hardware and software.

Wide Range of Uses and Phased Launch

The Horizon Ultra device targets various user segments, starting from large enterprises in need of advanced productivity tools, up to content creators who rely on multi-media artificial intelligence. The device also enables the use of smart agents who can understand user intent and assist in completing daily tasks independently, with the ability to switch to the cloud when computational power exceeds device capabilities is required. Meanwhile, Waseem Sharjabi, Senior Vice President at Qualcomm, noted that artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming into a new interactive interface for personal computing. He viewed the increasing capabilities of devices to understand context and intent as a formal entry into the era of smart agents, who will be an integral part of the modern work environment. The computer will be available for sale to institutions starting from the 20th of September 2026, with Al-Falak company handling sales and delivery in this initial phase. The device will initially operate on the Windows system, with the next generation of the series being launched on the company's proprietary HUMAIN OS next year, reflecting HUMAN's vision of making artificial intelligence an essential and integrated component in every device launched to the market.
