Hisense Unveils A10 Ultra with Detachable Screen for Reading and Gaming

Hisense is taking a bold step in the smartphone market with the launch of its new A10 Ultra, a device that uniquely combines e-ink reading capabilities with a detachable color screen for multimedia consumption. This innovative approach aims to cater to users who desire both eye-friendly text display and vibrant visual entertainment.
Dual-Screen Design for Versatility
The primary display features a 6.13-inch E Ink Carta 1300 panel with a resolution of 1648x824 pixels, offering a sharp 300 PPI density for excellent readability even under direct sunlight. It includes adjustable front lighting with 36 levels of brightness and color temperature control, ensuring comfort during night use.
On the back, a 4.96-inch colorful LCD screen can be easily detached using magnets, allowing it to function as a separate device or to hold wireless chargers. This secondary screen is ideal for gaming and watching videos, tasks that are not suitable for e-ink displays, providing a versatile user experience.
Technical Specifications and Charging
Powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q 6690 processor, the phone runs on Android 16 with Google Play Store support, along with NFC and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. It houses a 4000mAh battery that supports 15W wireless charging and 18W wired charging via USB-C.
In the Chinese market, the base model starts at $420, with the Ultra version featuring the detachable screen priced $60 higher per configuration. Global release details remain undisclosed, leaving room for potential international expansion in the near future.
Hisense aims to bridge the gap between dedicated e-readers and smartphones with this release, offering a practical solution for users seeking a comprehensive device that balances productivity and entertainment without straining their eyes.
