The interior ministry of Germany's Hesse state announced today the ban of a Palestinian association, accusing it of exceeding political expression limits and inciting anti‑Semitic tensions. The decision followed raids on five sites in Hesse and one in Baden‑Wurttemberg, involving 35 police officers.

Ban details

The ministry stated the group's activities aimed to spread anti‑Semitic images and violated the principle of mutual understanding and constitutional order. The action followed a ruling by the administrative court.

Official remarks

Interior Minister Roman Buzek called the ban a clear message from the rule of law to confront rising anti‑Semitism, stressing that the safety of the Jewish community in Hesse is non‑negotiable. He added that authorities will continue to combat extremist or anti‑constitutional initiatives.

The move is seen as a decisive step to maintain social security and promote coexistence in the region.
