Designer Zahar Samir of Original Antique workshop turned Asala's request into a masterpiece that blends traditional Damascene craftsmanship with contemporary flair. He chose the Damascene rose as the central motif, carving it onto natural walnut wood and mother‑of‑pearl, a hand‑crafted process that took roughly twelve weeks.
Symbolic seat in a comeback story
Samir explained that the chair transcends its function, becoming a piece of the narrative of Asala's homecoming, reflecting the city’s beauty and elegance through its decorative details.
With this design, Asala added a cultural layer to her concert, demonstrating how art can celebrate identity and heritage simultaneously.
