Budapest becomes the dramatic setting for season 3 of 'The Distant City'

The production team behind the Turkish series 'The Distant City' has announced the release date for its third season, with the first episodes set to air on September 14 on Kanal D.
Details of the New Trailer
The first promotional video reveals that the main character, Aliya, moves to the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to escape with her son, Deniz, after leaving the Turkish city of Mardin, hoping to build a new life away from her past.
However, the character Jihan follows her to Hungary and succeeds in bringing them back to Turkey after a series of dangerous events that may drastically change the course of their lives.
Background and Impact
This series is a Turkish adaptation of the famous Arab series 'Al-Hayba', and its first two seasons gained widespread popularity in the Arab world, where it was dubbed in the Syrian dialect and aired on the MBC network.
The series recently won the Best Series of the Year award in Turkey at the Anadolu Media Awards and contributed to a tourism boost for the city of Mardin in southern Turkey, which hosted filming for the previous two seasons.
