Bader Al-Rizeiq Elected Head of Saudi Football Federation by Acclamation Until 2030

The General Assembly of the Saudi Football Federation concluded its session by electing Bader Al-Rizeiq as the new head of the organization by acclamation. This appointment covers a four-year term, running from 2026 to 2030, aiming to ensure stable leadership for the national game.

Formation of the New Executive Committee

The decision also included the appointment of Laith Mishaabi as Vice President, alongside a committee of members with extensive experience in the sports sector. The roster includes Lamyaa Beyhan, Fahad Al-Mansour, Salman Al-Sudairi, Thamer Al-Sadoon, and Omar Al-Jarisi, as well as international members Nicholas Cawd and Gerard Ruddy.

Al-Rizeiq highlighted in immediate remarks that previous years presented significant challenges for the former council, thanking them for their dedicated efforts. He noted that current support from the Saudi leadership and the Ministry of Sport creates an ideal environment for elevating local football standards.

Future Outlook on Tournaments

This new leadership arrives amidst high expectations for technical development ahead of major international competitions. The federation is currently focusing on intense preparation for the Gulf Cup and the Asian Cup, striving to achieve positive results that reflect continuous progress.

Notably, Bader Al-Rizeiq possesses a rich administrative background, having served as the president of Al-Qadsiah Club between 2024 and 2026. This prior experience enhances the prospects of his success in managing the federation's affairs during the upcoming phase.
