Apple Boosts RAM to 4GB in Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4
Apple has announced that its latest smartwatches, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, now come with 4 GB of RAM, doubling the memory of previous models.
Technical details
The new watches are built on the S11 chip and leverage Xcode 27 to enable “Apple Intelligence” features. The expanded RAM supports advanced AI applications such as Live Rewind and Siri Recap, delivering smoother performance.
Impact for users
This upgrade provides faster response times, especially when paired with an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Despite a global shortage and rising prices of memory chips, Apple kept launch prices in the U.S. at $399 for the Series 12 and $799 for the Ultra 4.
The move underscores Apple’s commitment to enhancing smartwatch capabilities without adding extra cost for consumers.
