Anker Launches Smart 140W Charging Cable with Anti-Dirt Design in China
Anker has unveiled a new fast-charging cable that combines high engineering durability with superior technical performance, focusing on delivering a practical and economical solution for users in the Chinese market.
Technical Specs Pushing Speed and Durability Limits
The new cable features a braided outer layer specifically designed to resist dust and dirt accumulation, giving it exceptional flexibility and the ability to withstand over 10,000 bending cycles without damage. The product comes in two lengths, one meter and 1.8 meters, with four color options including black, white, pink, and blue to suit different user preferences.
This cable supports a maximum charging power of 140 watts, allowing an iPhone 17 to charge up to 50% in 20 minutes, and a MacBook Pro 16-inch with an M3 processor to the same percentage in just 25 minutes. It holds official USB-IF certification and supports multiple fast-charging protocols like PD 3.1, PPS, and QC.
Smart Protection and Competitive Pricing
The cable contains a smart e-marker chip that manages power consumption and protects devices from damage, automatically switching to slow charging once the battery exceeds 80% to preserve its lifespan. The new model starts at 34.90 Chinese yuan in online Chinese stores, equivalent to about $5.20 USD, making it a very economical choice compared to previous alternatives like the Zolo cable.
Global launch plans for this cable remain unconfirmed for now, as the company has initially focused on covering local demand in China only, leaving room for potential geographical expansion in the near future.
